Hi, I'm Elizabeth!

FOUNDER & CEO

I have dedicated my working life to helping families of children with special needs. My first experience was helping my widowed uncle care for his only child, my cousin Anna when she was 4 years old.

Anna is 23 now, and back then, there were few, if any programs or resources available to parents in need. I continued to work with countless families with children of all ages and various degrees of special needs.

I worked at a school for children with Autism, Cognitive Behavioral Conditions, Non-Verbal, and Socially non-interactive skills, where I became proficient in the ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) technique. I was amazed at the results.

What my experience continues to teach me, is that, today, there is still a lack of resources and instructional aids available to this community of families that I feel is desperately needed.

About Elizabeth

Families in crisis do not have the time to read a book and try to figure out a cognitive plan at home. A short demonstration can produce quick results. The families that I have worked for, are my inspiration for this endeavor. I have great admiration for the parents and children that work so hard to accomplish ordinary tasks that come naturally to other families.

If you set the bar high for these children, they will reach it! I hope I have demonstrated my passion for this project, and how much these children give me purpose. My vision is to teach, empower and encourage parents everywhere to apply some very simple techniques, that can make a difference in their world.

When I am not working with parents and children, I enjoy spending time with my love, Eric, and visiting my parents in the mountains whenever we can get away. I do enjoy shopping and indulging myself in a good mystery series. Self-care is something that I don’t do enough of, but I will continue to be a work in progress.

Certification

The Certificate of Completion from Autism Partnership Foundation signifies successful completion of the behavior technician training program.

It demonstrates proficiency in applied behavior analysis techniques and equips individuals with the necessary skills to work effectively as a behavior technician in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
